Who we are

The Outdoor Media Centre, formerly the Outdoor Advertising Association, is the trade association for outdoor media owners.  We’re here to market the outdoor medium. We are a resource centre, a service to support everyone who plans or buys media, and might be looking for arguments in favour of outdoor. This website is your information gateway for relevant suppliers, data, photos and proof of effectiveness.

We support our members’ interests - everything from lobbying to dealing with government planning authorities. We also promote best practice among our members in all matters of health & safety, sustainability and the environment.

Mike Baker

Mike Baker, CEO

A modern languages graduate, Mike taught English in Germany, Italy, Saudi Arabia and Japan. Mike has worked in outdoor since 1996, as UK marketing director with TDI and then in marketing and development roles at Viacom Outdoor and CBS Outdoor. His other media roles were at Thames TV, The Sunday Correspondent newspaper, and IPC Magazines, where he was ad marketing director.

Bill Wilson

Bill Wilson, Operations Director

A law graduate from King’s College London, Bill has worked in Outdoor for at least, 25 years and has been in his current position since 2001. Having left University Bill worked and played Rugby in France and then returned to England and entered the world of advertising. He initially entered Outdoor with Mills and Allen but has subsequently worked at Dolphin, Atlas, Vision Posters and Score. Bill is a keen sportsman (now as a spectator) and a horse racing enthusiast.

Jali Henry

Jali Henry, Marketing and Administration Executive

Jali studied Music and Culture & Media Studies at the University of Natal, Durban in South Africa before coming to the UK to work in Media. She worked as a Music journalist and TV Sales Assistant before joining the Outdoor Media Centre in 2008. Jali handles general marketing duties such as website maintenance and newsletter editing in addition to member management and public enquiries.

Katherine Ashmore, Marketing Assistant

After graduating from the London College of Communication, Katherine worked at an integrated marketing agency where she developed a keen interest in understanding consumers and their buying behaviour. She hopes to expand her knowledge of marketing and how consumers interact with Outdoor.
